Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

CAPS serves as the primary mental health service at Northwestern University with offices on both the Evanston and Chicago campuses.  CAPS provides a set of core services, including clinical services, educational workshops, and consultation with faculty, staff, and parents.  All full-time students have access to CAPS at no additional cost.  For more information or to schedule an appointment, please visit their website.

Our Northwestern

Our Northwestern is the University’s online social community for alumni, students, faculty, staff, parents, and friends. Joining is easy, free, and offers access to content and people that are uniquely Northwestern.

Career Services

Northwestern Career Advancement (NCA) offers free career counseling catered specifically to current graduate students. Career counseling is a confidential and supportive process through which each student works with a counselor to explore career options and make career decisions. Students work at their own pace on the parts of the career planning process appropriate to their needs.

Student Financial Services

Student Financial Services helps students navigate questions concerning student accounts, billing and payments, financial aid, and student loans.  It is the hub of student financial information and transactions.  Visit their website for more information or to contact SFS.

Events

The MSHC Program organizes a variety of social events and activities throughout the year. Additionally, the greater university offers daily opportunities to attend a diverse range of events such as academic speakers and performing arts shows. Health Services

NU Health Services provide quality physical and mental care to NU students. Students have access to a variety of health services such as vaccinations, appointments, and lab testing, to name a few. Students can also contact this office to enroll in or waive student health insurance options, please visit their website or call (847 491-2113) with for more information.

Housing

The University’s Department of Graduate and Off Campus Housing serves to support graduate students seeking housing. Contact them at grad-housing@northwestern.edu or (847-491-5127) for more information.
