Why did you choose the MS Health Communication Program at Northwestern University?

The MS Health Communication program was a perfect fit for me. I appreciated that the program allows me to work full time and gain experience outside of the classroom. This program helped me bridge my education degree with my career goals in the healthcare field.

What are your career goals?

After the program, my career goals are to work in health promotion. I believe I would best use my skills as a corporate wellness educator and I know MSHC will provide me the support to get there!

What is your favorite part of the program so far?

My favorite part of the program is interacting with my classmates. All individuals in the program come from vastly different backgrounds and it is unique to MSHC to see each person bring their knowledge and experience into our classroom discussions.

Any tips on balancing school, work, and life?

Be organized and efficient with your time. While the program can move quickly, if you prioritize your time the workload is much less overwhelming.

Is there any additional advice or information that you would share?

I would suggest to get to know the people in your cohort! Developing those relationships supports a positive classroom environment, and can only benefit you in advancing your career path.
