Why did you choose the MS Health Communication Program at Northwestern University?
I believe this is the right graduate program to help me transition from the hospitality sector to healthcare.
What are your career goals?
My goal is to utilize the skills I acquire through this program to improve communication within the healthcare field.
What is your favorite part of the program so far?
I enjoy my classes. The professors are very knowledgeable and humorous, which makes learning a fun process. The classroom discussions are engaging, and I learn a lot from so many different perspectives. The proseminar sessions are fun and very informative and help me shape my personal and professional narrative.
Any tips on balancing school, work, and life?
Time management is essential to balancing everything. At times, it can seem challenging, but structuring my day has helped me get my priorities in order.
Is there any additional advice or information that you would share?
There are endless resources that this program has to offer- whether it be support staff, faculty, alumni, writing coaches, teaching assistants, librarians, libraries, etc., all dedicated to helping you succeed in this program. Take advantage of these invaluable resources!
