Professionally, what are you doing now?
Right now, I’ve taken a step back from everything I was doing and am currently focused on passing my USMLEs so that I can go back to practicing medicine.
How has the program changed the way you view healthcare?
While it’s easy to say healthcare is broken and place the blame on the patient or payer; this program helped shed light on the perspectives, viewpoints, and conflicts from each of the stakeholders in modern day healthcare. As a healthcare provider, it was illuminating to see the real reason why certain patients chose the treatment path they did.
Did you discover anything new or unexpected at Northwestern?
I thoroughly enjoyed being challenged on my viewpoints and also being exposed to differing views that were grounded in fact and reason.
