Reading, running, yoga, cooking, baking, and spending time with friends and family

What are your favorite Chicago activities?
Going to Millenium Park and the Art Institute, walking along the Chicago Riverwalk on a nice day, catching a baseball game at Wrigley field, and enjoying the many great restaurants

Did you work full time through the program?
Yes – I worked full time through the majority of the program.

Was time commitment reasonable?
The time commitment was tough, but manageable.

Were you able to balance work and school?
I found that if I started early in the week and did a little bit every night, I was able to enjoy some free time toward the end of the week.

Professionally, what are you doing now?
I am working for a patient engagement start up that helps health care systems to better communicate with patients and their families.

Tell us about a “Northwestern moment.” More specifically, was there a moment either in class or otherwise associated with the program where something really clicked for you?
I was impressed by the caliber of professors at Northwestern. They kept me very engaged throughout the year and were always available for further discussion. I’m also excited to be part of the Northwestern alumni network and be able to cheer for a Big 10 school!

How has the program changed the way you view healthcare?
The program broadened my perspective on healthcare. It made me more aware of population health issues, as well as how all parties (patient, physicians, payers) can work together to improve the system for all.
